The Basic Chord

The most basic chord is the Triad. The "Triad" simply means "three note chord". This is the C Major Triad, or C Major Chord, for the Left Hand:

The chord is named after the lowest note: C
Play C - E - G with the Left Hand. Notice you are skipping every other key.
